DA, Wakefield Police Investigating Fatal Crash
The crash took place on Tuesday near Galvin Middle School in Wakefield.
WAKEFIELD, MA - A fatal single-vehicle crash on Tuesday afternoon in Wakefield is under investigation by the Middlesex District Attorney’s office and Wakefield Police, the district attorney’s office confirmed on Thursday.
The crash took place around 3 p.m. on Tuesday near Galvin Middle School in Wakefield. A car crashed into a utility pole in the area, catching fire, according to the DA's office. A 51-year-old Wakefield woman was pulled from the crash and taken to the hospital where she later died.
The woman was the only occupant of the vehicle, the DA’s office said.
