Detours Coming Up Due To Wakefield Road Construction Project

WAKEFIELD, MA — Beginning Monday, June 16, 2025, the Town’s paving contractor, Lazaro Paving Corp, will start construction activity on Sweetser Street, Houston Street, Eaton Street, Juniper Avenue, White Circle, Cordis Street, and Central Street. Residents will receive notices at their homes with additional project and schedule information.

On Wednesday, June 18, a contractor hired by Wakefield Municipal Gas and Light Department will be paving the area of Church Street, between Lafayette Street and Main Street. A detour will be in place throughout the day.

Note that this work schedule may shift due to weather and other factors. Please keep these projects in mind as you plan your travel routes.
