Fashion Show/Luncheon Event Coming Up At St. Joseph's

Today is Monday, October 21. Here are five things worth knowing today. 

St. Joseph’s Church in Wakefield has announced a fashion show and luncheon event coming up Saturday, November 9 from 1 to 2 p.m. Event sponsored by several area businesses, including Rada Boutique in Wakefield. The next Linden Tree Coffeehouse performance is Saturday, Nov. 2 at 8 p.m. with Pete and Maura Kennedy, as well as an opening set from young fiddling prodigy “Fiddling Quinn.” Tickets are $18. Complete info on this and other shows can be found at this link.

Looking ahead to Saturday, October 26 at 10 a.m., Officer Meaghan Leary of the Wakefield Police Department will give a talk for kids aged 4 and up on staying safe during the Halloween season.

The Wakefield Parent Partnership reports that it has arranged for Dr. Tina Payne Bryson, co-author of the book “The Whole Brain Child,” to speak and sign books at Galvin Middle School at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the door. There’s a flu clinic Wednesday, October 23 at Galvin Middle School from 7 to 8 p.m. Vaccine is $10 for those without one of the accepted insurances. For more information call 781-979-4127.
