Full Recovery Expected for Officer Struck By Car, No Charges for Driver
Veteran police officer struck by motorist while doing traffic detail Monday morning.

The Wakefield Police officer struck and injured by a vehicle on Monday morning while working a traffic detail reportedly suffered facial injuries and was expected to stay overnight at Mass. General Hospital.
Officer Joseph Conway, a 38-year veteran of the Wakefield force, was struck soon after 7 a.m. Monday morning by 39-year-old Thomas Petrocelli of Stoneham, who was driving a 2011 Honda Pilot. Wakefield Police indicated in a Monday afternoon that Petrocelli was not expected to face any charges in the incident.
While Conway was held overnight for observation Monday, Wakefield Police indicated that he is expected to make a full recovery.
