The show will be the latest to put the Wakefield Bowladrome in front of Hollywood cameras.

WAKEFIELD, MA — Part of Wakefield will be back in front of the camera next month for planned filming for HBO’s “Julia,” Town Administrator Stephen Maio told the Wakefield Town Council on Monday.
Crews will arrive at the Wakefield Bowladrome on Nov. 4, according to Maio.
“Julia” is a new HBO MAX show tracing the life and story of famed chef Julia Child. It debuted earlier this year before being renewed for a second season.

That message tracks with a trend of Hollywood visits to Wakefield and the Wakefield Bowladrome in recent years, where George Clooney and Ben Affleck made headlines last spring when they brought film crews to the Bowladrome for their film “The Tender Bar.”
Crews were back in Wakefield at the Bowladrome in March of this year as part of filming for “The Holdovers” starring Paul Giamatti.
The Wakefield Bowladrome is located on Water Street in Wakefield. It offers candlepin bowling in its historic family-owned facility.
