Here's What To Know About Wakefield Porchfest 2025
Organizers have released information about what attendees of the event this weekend should know.

WAKEFIELD, MA – The Wakefield Porchfest Committee has developed a guide for attendees planning to attend the 2025 event, which will take place from 12 – 6 p.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2025. The event will feature 134 musical acts at 67 locations across the community (current schedule below). The following points will ensure a safe, fun event for everyone!
- The event website (wakefieldporchfest.com) is the place to find the latest schedule, band lineup, and venues, as all performances are subject to change. Printed schedules are also available at the following businesses: Cravings, Hobby Bunker, Life Love Cheese, Main ST Grille & Taphouse, North Ave Diner, Remedy Exchange, Rise & Shine, Waves/Lakeside Inn, Slice, and Sweetbay Flowers and Gifts.
- The event is *100 percent free* but some artists may ask for tips or sell merchandise if a host allows it. Please support your local musicians!
- This is designed as a community-forward, family-friendly event! Please take care while driving, walking, and moving between venues. Respect the host properties, their neighbors, and other attendees.
- This is a highly walkable event, with multiple venues clustered in neighborhoods around Wakefield. Use the interactive map on wakefieldporchfest.com to find nearby hosts.
- Remember to bring a folding chair, blanket, water, and an umbrella, in case of light rain or to block the sun. Wear comfortable shoes. If you’re attending with kids, portable activities are recommended.
- Please use sidewalks when moving from house to house. Enjoy live music on the lawn or in the driveway, while keeping all public sidewalks and roadways free and clear.
- The Wakefield Porchfest organizers have not closed any streets, although certain hosts have worked with the Town of Wakefield to secure block party permits. Those specific hosts are responsible and must follow the guidelines provided to them by the Town.
- Porchfest provides the opportunity to hear musical acts in a variety of genres and styles. Use the schedule to discover new acts. If you don’t like something you hear, there’s always another venue with new acts nearby!
- If you are driving, remember that town parking restrictions are in effect on Saturdays! There are paid parking lots along North Avenue and near Greenwood Station.
- Alcohol consumption is up to the discretion of each host. Please do not drink on public sidewalks or roadways! If you decide to drink, please make a plan to use taxis or rideshares to get home.
- Porchfest hosts are not obligated to provide bathrooms for participants! Public restrooms and/or portable toilets will be available at the Albion Cultural Exchange, Veterans Field, and Spaulding Playground. You can also plan ahead to patronize one of the many local restaurants around Wakefield.
- Want Wakefield Porchfest merchandise? The Albion Cultural Exchange (9 Albion Street) will be the official event headquarters, offering t-shirts, coozies, and stickers for purchase, as well as free bottled water, printed schedules, and public restrooms. Open from 11 am – 6 pm on the day of the event.

About Wakefield Porchfest
Launched in 2024, Wakefield Porchfest joins more than 230 cities, towns, and neighborhoods that host a version of the community-focused music event, which started in Ithaca, NY. In its first year, Wakefield Porchfest featured 105 acts that performed at 50 locations across the North Shore town. The event is free of charge to attend and is coordinated by a group of volunteers who collaborate with musical acts and hosts.
