How Wakefield Residents Can Dump Christmas Trees
The town will be collecting live Christmas trees over the next couple weeks.

WAKEFIELD, MA — Residents will be able to dump their Christmas trees in the coming weeks.
The Department of Public Works is doing a curbside collection of live Christmas trees during the week of Jan. 10 and Jan. 17. They will be collected on everyone's regularly scheduled recycling days. The week of Jan. 10 is a blue week and the week of Jan. 17 is a red week.
Residents are asked to remove all decorations, including lights and tree stands. Trees cannot be wrapped in plastic.

Live wreaths will also be collected if they don't have any decorations.
