Jogger Collapses, Transported To Nearby Hospital

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Wednesday, October 16, 2013.
At 10:19 a.m. a woman on Nahant Street reported a stolen Fedex package.
At 10:57 a.m. a woman on Richardson Street reported her scooter had been vandalized.
At 2:14 p.m. a suspicious man was reportedly standing behind a dumpster on Smith Street.
At 2:19 p.m. police took a report of a past hit and run that turned out to be on Green Street in Stoneham. He was directed to police in that town.
At 2:23 p.m. police and fire personnel responded to a Main Street address after a caller reported a loud bang in the ceiling followed by sparks. Further investigation found an apparent malfunction with a light fixture.
At 2:50 p.m a caller reported that somebody illegally dumped 19 bags of plaster in the rear of a lot on North Ave.
At 4:23 p.m. police spoke with an MBTA bus driver near North Ave. after a caller reported that the driver ran two red lights and passed the caller on the other side of the road.
At 6:01 p.m. a woman reported her car was struck in the Shaw’s parking lot.
At 6:03 p.m. police issued a summons to a 19 year old Wakefield man charging him with operating with a suspended/revoked license, registration not in possession, and operating at a speed greater than reasonable and proper.
At 7:28 p.m. multiple callers reported a runner collapsed on Quannapowitt Parkway. The individual was transported to a nearby hospital.
At 10:04 p.m. police took a report of a possible restraining order violation involving a mention of an individual on Twitter. Police issued a summons to an 18 year old Saugus man charging him with violation of a 209A abuse prevention order.
At 10:29 p.m. two callers reported hearing possible gunshots near Melrose Ave and Oak Street. All was quiet upon further investigation.
