National Drug Takeback Day Coming Up In Wakefield
The event will be later this month and will allow residents to dispose of unwanted or expired medications.
WAKEFIELD, MA — National Drug Take Back Day is coming up and the Wakefield Police Department is participating.
The event will be April 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Public Safety Building at 1 Union St.
"At this event, the community can bring tablets, capsules, patches, and other solid forms of prescription drugs for safe disposal," police wrote on Facebook.

"For more than a decade, the event has helped Americans easily rid their homes of unneeded medications—those that are old, unwanted, or expired—that too often become a gateway to addiction."
