Odyssey Day School to hold Family Fun 5K and Family events 4/28

Odyssey Day School is taking our message of health, fitness and fun outside the school and into the community on Saturday, April 28 and giving others a chance to join us and support the school at the same time with our first annual Family Fun 5K around Lake Quannapowitt in downtown Wakefield, with the starting address being 1 Lake Avenue. The festivities kick off at 10AM, and last until noon, and racewire will be timing the 5K race for those who are interested, as this is a great PR course and this is a good race to get in as part of your spring 5K season! And for students age 12 and up, there is the option to do a 1 mile race instead of the full 5K. And walkers and joggers are welcome, as are families participating together! And on the Wakefield Town Common, for children ages 2 years and up, there will be smaller races, an obstacle course, and rumor has it there may even be a bouncy house, and all participants in these activities will earn medals of their own! The cost to participate in these activities on the Wakefield Town Common is $5 per child.
