Suspected Homicide Victim Found In Wakefield Woods
A body with gunshot wounds was found in a black van.

A suspected homicide victim who had suffered gunshot wounds was found in a van parked in the woods off a normally sleepy Wakefield road Tuesday, according to a statement from the District Attorney’s Office.
The victim has been identified as Jeffrey Raphael, 30, of Lynn.
“The Wakefield Police Department received a 9-1-1 call Tuesday evening, which led them to the crime scene,” said District Attorney Marian Ryan in a statement to the media.

“When officers arrived at the location, they found a body inside a vehicle. While this is an active investigation, we would like members of the public to know that this does not appear to be a random act of violence.”
The body was discovered off Sunset Drive at approximately 5:45 p.m. in a black Volvo SUV.
