Police Identify Man in Fatal Reading Crash
The Wakefield man was outside of his vehicle when he was hit and killed.

Massachusetts State Police on Wednesday identified the Wakefield man killed by an allegedly impaired driver on Tuesday night.
According to police, 71-year-old Wakefield resident Vittorio Recupero was standing outside of his Hyundai Tuscon in the breakdown lane of Route 95 in Reading when he was struck by a woman driving a Toyota Scion.
Recupero suffered traumatic injuries and was transported to Lahey Clinic in Burlington by the Reading Fire Department. While at Lahey Clinic, Recupero died as a result of his injuries.
After determining that the driver of the second car was impaired, police arrested Mary Griforiadis, 32, of Brockton, and charged her with operating under the influence. She was expected in Woburn District Court on Wednesday and will likely face additional charges.
Two lanes of travel were closed for about two hours on Tuesday night as investigators reconstructed the scene and cleaned up the road.
