Stolen Bike Recovered, And Golf Clubs Turn Up On Front Lawn

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Wednesday, September 11, 2013.
At 7:44 a.m. a two-car accident was reported near Water Street and Farm Street.
At 9:05 a.m. a caller reported a disheveled female was walking in the roadway at the 129 Rotary. She was spoken to by Reading Police and sent on her way.
At 9:48 a.m. a hypodermic syringe was recovered on Lowell Street.
At 9:51 a.m. a citizen turned in a men’s wallet.
At 10:20 a.m. a panhandler was reported on Albion Street. He was gone on arrival.
At 11:13 a.m. a vehicle was reported vandalized on Mountain Ave.
At 4:53 p.m. a caller reported that a bike he had reported stolen was now locked up on Princess Street in front of Phu Ket Restaurant. The fire department helped cut the lock and the bike was recovered.
At 5:42 p.m. police issued a summons to a 25 year old Lynn man charging him with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, subsequent offense.
At 6:37 p.m. an attempted larceny was reported on Water Street.
At 6:43 p.m. police issued a summons to a 20 year old Reading resident charging him with operating with a suspended/revoked registration and with a red light/stop sign violation.
At 8:03 p.m. a caller reported finding a set of golf clubs on their front lawn on Vernon Street, possibly connected to a motor vehicle break-in from the previous night.
