Summer Band Concert, Children's Storyteller This Week in Town

A look at what's coming up in and around Wakefield.

Today is Monday, August 19. Here are five things worth knowing today.

The Wakefield Summer Band presents their final concert of 2013 this Friday, August 23 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the bandstand at First Parish Congregational Church.

On Wednesday, August 21 at 10:30 a.m., children’s storyteller Alicia Quintano is at the Beebe Library in downtown Wakefield with stories for kids in grades 1-4. No signup required.

Wakefield Care and Rehabilitation Center is holding a car show this Thursday, August 22 from 4 to 6 p.m. All proceeds will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association.
