Three Wakefield Businesses Named Among Fastest Growing in U.S.

Three Wakefield businesses have been named to the 2013 Inc. 5000 List of the nation’s fastest-growing companies.

At #705 on this year’s list, Inc. describes QMS as “Provides SAP consulting services for the manufacturing sector, including business and IT consulting, SAP application, project and staffing services, training, and custom development.” The company reportedly had 649% growth – from $1.2 million revenue in 2009 to $9.3 million in 2012. The company now has 50 employees – 40 of whom have been added in the past three years. In 2012, QMS ranked at #686 on the list. This year, it also was ranked at #82 on the list of the top 100 IT Service Companies, #31 on the Top 100 Massachusetts Companies, and #29 in the Boston Metro area.

Ranked at 3,395 on the list of fast growing businesses, Inc. describes Eliassen Group as “provides technology staffing and consulting services focused on agile, government services, workforce management and life sciences on a contract, contact-to-hire and direct-hire basis.” The company has seen 92% growth over three years with 2012 revenue of $171.6 million. The company has added 421 total jobs over the past three years, coming up to its current 1,085. Eliassen Group was founded in 1989 and has appeared on this list each year since 2007 – as well as coming in at #106 back in 1995.

Virtual, which according to Inc. “manages business and technology operations for global trade associations and consortiums in digital media, education and health care.”  The company, ranked at #4,930 on the list, has reportedly seen 37% growth over the past three years, with 2012 revenue of $15.4 million. The company has added 23 jobs over the past three years, bringing its current total to 67. It was founded in 1999. Virtual also made the list in 2011 (#2927) and 2010 (#2254).
