Town Of Wakefield: Last Day To Obtain Nomination Papers For Annual Town Election

Today, February 28, 2022, is the last day to obtain nomination papers for Wakefield’s Annual Town Election. Candidates wishing to run for office can obtain nomination papers at the Town Clerk’s office in Town Hall (1 Lafayette Street); they are due back by March 8. See a complete list of important dates for this election.

Voting will take place on April 26, 2022, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Galvin Middle School.

• Board of Assessors: one 3-year term
• Board of Health: one 3-year term
• Constable: one 3-year term and one 1-year term
• Housing Authority: one 5-year term
• Library Trustees: three 3-year terms
• Planning Board – one 5-year term
• School Committee: three 3-year terms
• Town Council: three 3-year terms.
• Town Treasurer: one 3-year term
• WMGLD Commissioner: two 3-year terms
