WAKEFIELD, MA - A larceny was reported on Monday, May 23.

A 22-year-old Chelsea man received a summons while driving on Water and Melvin streets for speeding and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle on May 24.

On May 25, police received a report of an erratic operator involved in a road rage incident.

On May 25, a 24-year old Wakefield man contacted police and told them “there is a bag he wished to turn in,” police said. He was charged with a summons for possession of a class B drug and possession of a class E drug.

Police reported a motor vehicle crash on Lowell Street with debris in the roadway on May 25.

William J. Bambery, 60, of Lafayette Street was arrested May 26 on North Avenue on warrant charges. Police received a report for a homeless person making hotel guests uncomfortable.

Police received a report of two youths missing from a residence on May 26.

Joel Pena, 27, of New York, was arrested on Friday, May 27, on warrant charges for distribution of a class A drug and failure to provide DNA.

Police reported a crash on Main Street on Saturday, May 28. A 44-year-old Melrose man was summonsed to court for operating under the influence of drugs second offense and negligent operation of a motor vehicle while sending or reading text messages and speeding.

Police reported vandalism of mailboxes on Sunday, May 29, at 38 Montrose Ave., 11 Ledgewood Rd. and 22 Ledgewood Rd, 5 Rosemary Ave. and six mailboxes on Sycamore Rd. 7, 11, 15, 21, 30 and 33.

Police received a call on May 29 from an out-of-state woman who reported that her daughter was having a house party on Brewster Road.

Police received a report of an armed robbery on Monday, May 30 on Main Street. Victim said the suspect had a knife.

Police received a report of a man with a backpack and towel on his head in front of a church acting odd on May 30. Police arrested David J. Spadafora, 23, of 9B Greenwood St., Wakefield, and charged with malicious destruction of property.
