Wakefield Gas And Light Donates $2.75K To Food Pantry
The Wakefield Municipal Gas and Light Department made the donation on behalf of its supervisory union, employee union and management team.
WAKEFIELD, MA — The Wakefield Municipal Gas and Light Department looked to lend a hand to the Wakefield Food Pantry this holiday season with a recent donation, the department announced Tuesday.
The department donated $2,750 to the pantry on behalf of its supervisory union, employee union and management team, according to this week’s announcement.
The department further invited community members to follow its lead, if possible, with their own donations.

The food pantry has numerous donation options for those interested in supporting.
Monetary donations support perishable and non-perishable food purchases, as noted on the food pantry’s website. The food pantry also updates a “most needed items” list for those interested in donating food.
