WAKEFIELD, MA — Wakefield is looking to fill a series of openings on town boards, commissions and committees, the town announced last week.

Anyone interested in serving in one of the open roles should complete and send the town’s online application to Executive Assistant and Town Council Clerk Sherri Dalton along with a resume.

Applications are due on Oct. 4 to allow time for officials to review options ahead of the Town Council’s Oct. 24 meeting to make appointments.

Wakefield is also looking to appoint four new members to one-year terms on the town Youth Council, which aims to provide a space for residents ages 13 to 18 to share policy ideas and comments on community issues.

The town has openings for one high school student and three middle school students on the council. Interested applicants can apply through a specific Youth Council application online.

In addition to other openings, Wakefield is seeking a qualified and licensed attorney to represent the permanent building committee in the ongoing process of building a new Wakefield Memorial High School.

The Wakefield Memorial High School Special Counsel should have “extensive experience” in land use matters, the town said.
