Wakefield Music, Dance Event To Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month
The event will feature live music, dance demonstrations and more on Thursday evening.

WAKEFIELD, MA — A planned music and dance event will aim to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month in Wakefield later this week at the Beebe Library Plaza.
The event is set for Thursday, Sept. 22. It will run from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., as noted in a town announcement last week.
The Wakefield Human Rights Commission is coordinating the free event, which will feature dance demonstrations and instruction in multiple Latin genres via Raul and Eileen of Dance Caliente.

Charly Duri and Oscar Gomez will provide a live vocal and guitar accompaniment performance.
“The 2022 Hispanic Heritage Month observance theme, ‘Unidos: Inclusivity for a Stronger Nation,’ encourages us to ensure that all voices are represented and welcomed to help build stronger communities and a stronger nation,” the town said in its recent event announcement. “What better way to display the creativity and diversity of the Hispanic community than through music and dance?”
