Wakefielders Participate in Komen Race for the Cure
Annual run held in South Boston draws participants from across the region to help fight breast cancer.

The following was provided by the Komen Race for the Cure:
On September 29th, over 2,000 people participated in the 21st Annual Komen Massachusetts Race for the Cure.
Some Wakefielders were among those participating in the annual 5k. The Race kicked off Komen MA’s October activities for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The 5K fitness walk/run is dedicated to raising dollars to support local breast health programs that cover education, prevention, screening, and treatment while also funding the most promising research on a national level.
