Yard Sale At Dead Child Molester's Home About As Popular As You'd Expect

According to a WCVB Channel 5 report, neighbors were none too pleased.

Turns out Wakefield residents aren’t too thrilled about purchasing items formerly owned by a child molester - be they available at bargain prices or not.

A report from WCVB Channel 5 says a yard sale on Second Street offended quite a few people when they realized the secondhand merchandise was formerly the property of John Burbine - a convicted serial child rapist who hung himself in prison in 2014.

“I’m just shutting it down. I apologize to everyone out there,” Evangeline Brown, who ran the yard sale, told the source. “I was hired to help, and I got, unfortunately, involved in this.”

Police told Channel 5 that no legal action will be taken, because Brown wasn’t doing anything illegal.
