Industry veteran promoted to leadership role

Walpole, MA. – New Pond Village, a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in Walpole, Massachusetts, has named Frank Lonczak Executive Chef. With more than four decades of experience in the kitchen, Lonczak brings a wealth of culinary expertise to the position.

“We are incredibly proud to watch Frank step into his new role,” said New Pond Village Campus Executive Director Adam Manchester. “His dedication, creativity and talent in the kitchen have consistently set him apart and this next chapter in his career was a natural next step. We’re all excited to see him thrive and succeed as Executive Chef.”

As Executive Chef, Lonczak reports to Lacey Rainey, the community’s Food and Beverage Director, and is responsible for the day-to-day kitchen and dining room operations, in addition to overseeing the food and beverage staff.

Prior to working at New Pond Village, Lonczak had an illustrious career, developing his skillset in some of the most dynamic settings in the industry, such as world-renowned restaurants like Newport’s White House Tavern, luxury hotels, and even as a private, personal chef to Rhode Island’s esteemed Malbone Estate.

As a leader in the kitchen, he believes in working alongside his staff, rather than taking a hands-off management approach. “I wouldn't ask anyone to do something I wouldn't do as I do on a daily basis,” shared Lonczak. “My philosophy is to always be prepared, if you are ahead, you are never behind.”

Lonczak was a member of the United States Marine Corps and graduated from Johnson & Wales with a bachelor’s degree in culinary arts. He also holds certifications in bartending and mixology.
