WALPOLE, MA - Downtown Walpole will soon be getting into the holiday spirit on Saturday with two traditional community events.

On Sat. Nov. 27 at 11 a.m., the annual Walpole Santa Parade takes place on Common Street, starting at Walpole High School and working its way to downtown Walpole. This is the perfect
time to line up along the parade route to welcome Santa Claus, who will also be available after
the parade at the Town Common for a meet and greet. The parade is expected to last until 12:30 p.m.

At 6 p.m., the Walpole Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place at the Walpole Town Common. Co-sponsored by Destination Downtown and the Walpole Chamber of Commerce, this beloved traditional event celebrates the lighting of the downtown Christmas tree. Ed Jackowski will be performing holiday musical selections with carolers. Santa Claus will be in attendance for pictures. Hot chocolate and doughnuts will be served to sweeten and warm up the night!
