2 Finalists Selected For Waltham High School Associate Principal

The position, which was advertised from March 22 through April 5, attracted 29 applicants.

WALTHAM, MA — Two finalists have been selected in the search for a new Associate Principal of Waltham High School.

The position, which was advertised from March 22 through April 5, attracted 29 applicants. A 10-member screening committee composed of school administrators, instructional staff, parents, community members, and students interviewed six candidates on May 4, 9, and 12.

Lindsay S. Rosenmann

Rosenmann obtained her Masters in Organizational Management and School Counseling from Endicott College, and a second Masters Degree in School Counseling from Boston University. She currently serves as a School Counselor for the Acton Boxborough Regional School District. Rosenmann is actively involved in supporting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion work. She is a founding member and steering committee member of ECARES (Educators Committed to Antiracism, Equity and Social Justice), leveraging student voice, as well as supporting the district with disciplinary matters and the implementation of restorative justice practices. She co-leads and co-created the Parents of Color Advisory Group and is actively involved in coordinating Youth Activist Summits. She also serves as advisor to the Acton Boxborough Students for Equity and Justice club. Rosenmann holds an administrative licensure grades 5-12 and licensure in school counseling 5-12.

Jennifer Sarmiento

Sarmiento obtained her CAGS in Educational Leadership from Salem State University and her Masters in English Education from Syracuse University. She served as an administrator for the dual enrollment program with Bunker Hill Community College. Sarmiento has twenty-five years of teaching and coaching experience, and for the past 11 years she has been teaching, mentoring, and collaborating across a range of courses from unleveled English classes to AP Language and Composition. During her twenty-five-years in education, she has created effective professional development across a variety of domains: anti-racist instructional practices; grading for equity; RTI tiered intervention and SEL integration through the advisory process; redesigning two-way communication with families (e.g. focusing on EL and former EL students and families); and standards-based grading. Sarmiento holds an Administrative Licensure, grades 5-12, Licensure in English, and is an Adjunct Professor at Bunker Hill Community College.
