61-Year Old Waltham Man Fatality Stabbed In His Home On Halloween
On Halloween night the man called police to tell them he had been stabbed. He later died.

WALTHAM, MA– After a man was fatally stabbed the night of October 31, on Alder Street, police are asking for the public's help in finding the person who may have been responsible.
Shortly after 9 p.m., Waltham Police received a 911 call from a 61-year-old man reporting that he had been stabbed in his Alder Street residence. The man, identified as Kevin Fitzgerald, called police to tell them he had been attacked by a man that he was unable to identify.
Police found the man alone in his residence and first responders rushed him to Newton Wellesley Hospital where he later died.

Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Waltham Chief of Police Keith MacPherson said investigators believe that the person responsible for the attack may have been seen in the area shortly before the assault.
Authorities said they are not sure if the attack was random.

Police have not arrested anyone in connection with the attack and police are asking anyone who may have seen something concerning on Alder Street Halloween night to contact the Waltham Police Detective Division at 781-314-3550.
