Barbara Voymas, 88, Worked for Local Insurance Companies

Barbara A. Voymas died on July 30 at the age of 88.

She was a lifelong Waltham resident and graduated from Waltham High School. She worked as a secretary for the Glynn Insurance Company, the Berry Insurance Company and most recently the Kirsch Insurance Company, according to an obituary on the Joyce Funeral Home website.

She was the daughter of the late Constantine M. and Annie F. (Doherty) Voymas. She was the sister of the late Charles M. Voymas, Marion C. Smith, and Frances Yoymas.

Barbara is survived by her sister, Anna F. Stanton of Waltham, her brother, Donald E.Voymas of North Carolina, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to gather on Monday, Aug. 5, at 9 a.m. at The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main St. in Waltham, where her Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. Burial will be private.
