Fire At Marshalls In Waltham

WALTHAM, MA — The Marshalls store at the Market Place Drive complex just off of Interstate 95 in Waltham was evacuated after a fire broke out Tuesday afternoon, fire officials told Patch. No one was injured.

"Companies did a great job by efficiently executing a quick knockdown of the fire," said Lt. Scott Perry, a spokesperson for the department.

Crews were still working to clear smoke from the building, he said.

A clothing rack reportedly caught fire and there was some property and merchandise damage, Perry said.

The fire and police departments will soon begin an investigation of the cause of the fire, he said.
