Alleged South Boston gangster James "Whitey" Bulger plans to testify at his own trial, according to Boston.com.
Bulger, plans to take the stand when his trial starts in March and claim a deal he made with the federal Departemnt of Justice when he was a top secret information makes him immune from prosecution, according to the Boston Herald.
Bulger's attorney, J.W. Carney, made the announcement during a court hearing for Bulger today, Aug. 6, according to the Herald.
