• GameStop closes Waltham store as chain shrinks despite profit gains​ (walthamtimes.org) — Waltham’s GameStop at Lexington Street and Trapelo Road has closed, one of a dozen Massachusetts locations the chain recently shuttered as it trims physical stores despite posting higher profits. The 1019 Trapelo Road shop now shows as closed online, with a “for lease” sign puzzling regulars who thought business looked steady. GameStop says it’s cutting underperforming stores as more customers buy games digitally.
