LETTER: Mullin Has Strong Background

Joe Mullin is running for the 3rd Middlesex State Senate seat.

The following is a letter to the editor from a Weston resident.

I am voting for Joe Mullin as our Democratic State Senate nominee on Sept. 6, after paying very close attention to this exciting race. I spoke with and listened to all five of the Democratic candidates, and heard them speak during five or six forums and debates. Democrats enjoy an 'embarrassment of riches' with five attractive candidates.

Joe Mullin clearly stands above the rest in terms of his experience, wisdom and judgment to effectively represent us.

Only Joe Mullin has gained these strengths through a solid background:
        • Local affairs (including three terms as a Weston Selectman & Chair)
        • Regional affairs (including CEO of Sudbury/Assabet/Concord River Watershed Council)
        • Strong record in Economic Development (turning around the Mill in Maynard and meeting a payroll)
        • Federal experience (five years of deregulating the Airline Industry in New England)

None of the other candidates can match Joe's qualifications in width or depth. These are all important and relevant for service as a State Senator.

While there are five attractive Democratic candidates, Joe Mullin stands out as best qualified to represent the Third Middlesex Senate District.

I strongly urge you to cast a vote for Joe Mullin as best qualified to represent us in the State Senate.

John Hennessey
