New Assistant City Clerk Appointed
The new assistant clerk will replace Kevin Ritcey

The Waltham City Council on Monday appointed fomrer City Councilor Thomas J. Curtin as the city's new assistant city clerk.
Curtin, who resigned from the Council as Ward 4 councilor in May, will replace Kevin Ritcey. Ritcey is retiring. The Council approved Curtin in 13-0 vote.
City Councilor Ed Tarallo said Curtin's experience and knowledge of city council regulations made him the the better choice over the other candidate.

Curtin, in brief remarks to the Council after being appointed, said, "I can assure you I will apply the same dillegence to this position that I have for the past 12 years serving the people of Ward 4 and the people of the city of Waltham. So, I'm ready to go."
