Newton-Wellesley Hospital To Close Urgent Care Center In Waltham
Newton-Wellesley Hospital is closing its urgent care center in Waltham after 17 years and expanding its primary care facility.

WALTHAM, MA — Newton-Wellesley Hospital is closing its urgent care center on Hope Avenue in Waltham after 17 years in the space.
"To better meet the primary care needs of the Waltham community, we are closing the urgent care center and transitioning to a walk-in service that will be part of Waltham Family Medicine," Newton-Wellesley Hospital spokesperson Heidi Wilson told Patch, referring to the primary care practice based in the same location.
Hospital officials said the city needs primary care more than urgent care.
