• Bentley heads west to take on Air Force Friday and Saturday nights (bentleyfalcons.com) — Bentley University’s hockey team, based in Waltham, heads back to Colorado this weekend to face Air Force after a strong series that included a tie and a big win over Holy Cross. Recent games in Waltham and Worcester have pushed Bentley to first place in Atlantic Hockey, setting up an important road test before Air Force visits Bentley Arena again in February.

• 40-Year-Old Massachusetts Cold Case Solved: Charles Joseph Nunnenman III Identified as Victim in Boardman Crash (hoodline.com) — A long-unidentified crash victim has been confirmed as Charles Joseph Nunnenman III, who was born in Waltham in 1941 before later moving to Los Angeles. Genetic genealogy work finally connected his Massachusetts roots to a 1982 fatal hit-and-run in Ohio, giving his surviving family long-awaited answers. Investigators still don’t know why he was in Ohio that night.
