Sexual Assault In Waltham: Police Warn Residents To Be Vigilant
Police have increased patrols in the area to help ensure the safety of the residents, according to Waltham Police Chief MacPherson.

WALTHAM, MA – Police and the District Attorney are asking the public to be on alert after a man made his way into a Waltham woman's home and sexually assaulted her. The alert comes almost two weeks after the assault happened.
"This very serious assault is especially concerning because it appears to be a random act. As we continue our investigation, we want to remind members of the public to remain vigilant," said Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan in a statement.
It's unclear when police learned of the assault, but no one has been arrested yet, according to the District Attorney's office. The alleged assailant is still at large and has been described as possibly around 6' with a slight build.
