Waltham City Councilor Joe Giordano has announced his endorsement of Mara Dolan for State Senate, 3rd Middlesex District, in the race to succeed retiring Senator Susan Fargo.
“Mara Dolan has proven that she’ll work hard for the people of Waltham, with a platform for smart economic growth and support for local businesses. Mara has made it on her own, and will be the most effective legislator for the working families who are the backbone of our economy. Together with her compassion for veterans, her commitment to support our veterans with job opportunities, better health care, and the services they need, Mara Dolan is the best candidate to represent the 3rd Middlesex District.” “I’ve supported myself since I was 18 years old,” said Mara Dolan. “I’ve have had to work very hard for everything I have. I finished college, went through law school, took the bar exam, and started a law practice as a single mother. I know what it’s like for working families out there, and what we need to do to strengthen them. Veterans have an unemployment rate at twice the national average. This is just plain wrong. We owe it to our veterans to do much more for them, and I’ll never stop working for veterans. I’ve devoted my professional life to helping working families and those who want to do better. I’m very proud to have the endorsement of City Councilor Joe Giordano. He knows I’ll do more for our veterans, and that I know what we need to do to bring smart economic growth, with traffic control, to the City of Waltham.”
