Waltham Falls to Powerful Mansfield in Football Semifinal

The Waltham High School football was no match for a powerful Mansfield team as the Hawks were overpowered from start to finish in the Division 2 state semifinal game.

Mansfield scored on its first six drives of the game and took a 41-0 advantage by early in the second half. The Hornets put it in cruise control and went on to a 41-0 win.

Waltham’s season came to a close with the loss, while the Hornets advanced to play at Gillette Stadium for a state championship in two weeks.
