Waltham Police Bust Two In Alleged Drug Transaction

The pair allegedly conducted a drug transaction on Pine Street.

Waltham Police have charged two individuals in connection with an alleged drug transaction on Pine Street.

Milagros Marrero, 33, of 119 Pine St. faces one count of possession of a class B drug and Leonardo Marrero, 41, of Oxford, faces one count of distributing a class B drug and one count of possession of a class E drug, according to police.

On Jan. 24, plainclothes Waltham Police officers in the area of Pine Street noticed Milagros standing outside of 75 Pine St., in the extreme cold, as if she was waiting for somebody, Waltham Police Sgt. Tim King said. The pair then left 75 Pine St. for her home down the street where they went inside for several minutes, King said.

Officers saw the two emerge from the home and noticed Leonardo pass something to Milagros, King said. Officers stopped the pair and found three white pills in Leonardo’s jacket pocket, King said. Officers then stopped Milagros, who was holding ice cream in her hand. At first, she refused to let go of her ice cream, but eventually let it go which revealed she had three Percocet pills in her hand, King said. Police believe Leonardo sold Milagros the pills.

Officers also found a separate medication on Leonardo, for which he did not have a prescription. King said that resulted in the class E drug charge.
