Waltham Restaurant Closes After Worker Gets Coronavirus

All of the staff at Gustazo on Moody Street are getting tested for the coronavirus, according to management.

WALTHAM, MA — A popular Cuban-inspired restaurant closed temporarily after one of its staff members tested positive for the coronavirus.

UPDATE: Gustazo In Waltham To Reopen

The owners of Gustazo on Moody Street posted to social media Wednesday that they were closing their restaurant to ensure everyone is safe.

"We must inform you that a member of our Waltham location team has tested positive for COVID-19," reads the post.

It's unclear when the restaurant will reopen. The owners of the restaurant said the staff member was expected to make a full recovery and experienced minor symptoms.

"Our Waltham location will close temporarily to allow all our staff to get tested, and the facility to be properly sanitized," the post read. "We will continue to follow all state guidelines and precautionary measures to stop the spread of this virus. We will reopen as soon as it is safe for everyone."

In the meantime, its Cambridge location is still open.
