Waltham WWII Vet/Environmental PD Director Dies
Kenneth A. Crossman, of Waltham, was 88.

Kenneth A. Crossman, the former director of the Massachusetts Environmental Police, died on Aug. 23, according to his obituary on the Joyce Funeral Home website.
Joyce, 88, was a Waltham resident and served as a U.S. Marine on the Pacific front of World War II and as a peacekeeper in China until he was discharged in 1946, according to his obituary.
Crossman and his wife moved to Waltham in 1954 where they remained residents and raised a family, according to the obituary. By 1976, Crossman was named as the head of the state's environmental police. He had previously served as a supervisor.
