West Nile Risk Level Raised in Waltham

Massachusetts public health officials have raised the risk level for West Nile Virus in Waltham from low to moderate, according to the Boston Globe.

The news comes after mosquitoes in Waltham recently tested positive for WNV this summer. 

The risk level was also raised to moderate in Watertown, Newton and Cambridge due to “similarities in mosquito habitat types,” according to the Globe.
