Tidbits of Wayland History, One Day at Time
The Wayland Historical Society is compiling a year-long list of daily facts in celebration of Wayland's 375th anniversary.

Do you know when the railroad came to Wayland? Or when and where the first meetinghouse was built? What about the name of the first woman elected to Wayland's Board of Selectmen?
As Wayland celebrates its 375th anniversary throughout the next year, the Wayland Historical Society wants to help residents become better acquainted with some of those fascinating details that make up the fabric of Wayland's past.
The historical society and Patch are working together to bring those facts to you. Each weekday for the next year, you'll find one fact in the "5 Things" articles Patch runs each weekday morning. On Saturday, we'll recap the week's worth of facts and bring you TWO new facts.
