5 Things: A New Look, Water Ban, Meetings and Summer Reading
A new Patch look, a couple of meetings, summer reading kickoff and more.

1. So, there's something new going on here. As you no doubt noticed, Wayland Patch has an all new look this morning. We'll be tweaking and continuing to work through the transition in the coming days, but we will absolutely still be bringing you the news and info you expect. Poke around on the site and check out the new functionality and sections.
2. Water ban reminder. The town is under an odd/even watering ban. That means your address number, odd or even, corresponds to dates on which you're allowed to water. There are some additional details to know.
3. The Wayland High School Building Committee (click the link for the agenda) and the Conservation Commission are both meeting tonight. The meetings begin at 7 and 7:30, respectively.Â
4. Children ages 4 and up are invited to the Wayland Public Library today at 1:30 p.m. for the kickoff of the summer reading program. Magician Greg McAdams and his dog, Axel, will introduce this year's theme, "Dig into Reading" with an interactive hunt for a missing library card.
5. Year of Wayland Trivia. The earliest known mention of a slave in Sudbury was 1701.
