5 Things: Eating Out for SMILE Mass.; Finnerty's Hearing; and A Town Divided

A few things you need to know on Tuesday, May 18, 2013, in Wayland.

1. The Planning Board is scheduled to convene tonight at hold two public hearings: one related to approvals for townhomes at Wayland Town Center (at 7:30 p.m.) and one for a single building plan for 150 Main St., the Finnerty's property (at or after 8:30 p.m.)

2. The Finance Committee and Zoning Board of Appeals are also scheduled to meet tonight -- at 7 p.m. and 8:20 p.m., respectively. See the Town of Wayland website for agendas.

3. Music Together of Wayland/Weston begins its summer sessions today at Peace Lutheran Church. There are still slots available for both Tuesday and Wednesday sessions.

4. You can eat AND fundraise in Wayland today. Bertucci's and Orange Leaf, both located at Wayland Town Center, are donating a portion of sales today to SMILE Mass, an organization that focuses on helping families living with children with disabilities experience "a day trip or a vacation opportunity without barriers."

5. A Year of Wayland Facts. In 1780, the east and west side of Sudbury divided - the west side took the name Sudbury and the east side became East Sudbury.
