5 Things: Fluoride Hearing, Water Workshops, Board Appointments and More
A few things you need to know on Monday, July 8, 2013, in Wayland.

1. Fluoride Hearing. The Wayland Board of Health will hold a public hearing tonight at 7:05 p.m. to discuss and hear comments from the public related to the town's fluoridation of town water.
2. Additional Meetings. The Wayland Board of Selectmen will meet tonight to discuss, among other things, the appointment of a few individuals to town boards. Additionally, the board is scheduled to gather in executive session with the Wastewater Management District Commission at 9 p.m. to discuss litigation with Twenty Wayland. Â
3. The 10th season of the OARS Water Wise Workshops kicks off tomorrow with a class on "Your Watershed and the Water Cycle." These free courses held at Lake Cochituate State Park (25 Commonwealth Road) are designed for children ages 6-10. Registration is required at 978-369-3956 or via email at office@oars3rivers.org.Â
4. Did you receive your first-quarter property tax bill? You should have received it by the end of last week. If you didn't, contact the Wayland Treasurer's Office to request a copy.
5. Year of Wayland Trivia. Wayland's first Catholic Church St. Zepherin's Church held its first service on March 2, 1890.
