Claypit Hill Service Day Seeks Donations Of Legos, Crayons, Clothes
Students at the elementary school are collecting a variety of items to donate to a shelter in Waltham and other local causes.
WAYLAND, MA — Your spring-cleaning binge might mean success for a local elementary school's spring donation drive.
Claypit Hill Elementary will a service day this spring, donating a variety of items to different organizations in the region, including a homeless shelter and a charity that supports hospitalized children.
Here are the items the students are seeking for service day:

- Legos to donate to the Lego Replay, a Lego initiative that collects used bricks to donate to children in need
- Gently used adult T-shirts and sweatshirts in sizes medium, large and extra large for a Waltham homeless shelter
- Used crayons for The Crayon Initiative, which donates art supplies to hospitalized children
- Used T-shirts and fleece blankets to make pet beds and toys for Buddy Dog Humane Society in Sudbury
The school will collect donations through May 29. Donations can be dropped off on the downstairs level of the library, Wayland Middle School and in the lobby of Claypit Hill.
