Honeybee Disappearance, Residents' Poetry, A Famous Abolitionist
A few things you need to know in Wayland on July 31, 2013.

1. What if all the honeybees disappeared? It's the question at the center of the documentary "More Than Honey," which is being screening Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Wayland Public Library. Join the BEElieve Beekeepers group to watch and discuss the film.
2. Also at the library, don't forget to pick up your collection of poems by Wayland residents. The collection was compiled as part of the Wayland Reads Poetry program.
3. Just a reminder: Tax payments are due Aug. 1.
4. ICYMI: A Wayland couple is gearing up to breathe new life into a space where a popular Acton restaurant closed abruptly in 2011.
5. Year of Wayland Trivia. Wayland author, Lydia Maria Child (1802-1880} has been honored in the National Womens Hall of Fame and the National Abolition Hall of Fame.
