UPDATE: Power All But Restored in Wayland

WAYLAND, MA -

UPDATE: Eversource was reporting 12 customers remained without power Wednesday morning in Wayland.

According to a reader comment, Tuesday evening’s power outage affected, at least, parts of Lincoln Road in north Wayland and lasted for several hours.

At one point, more than 800 Wayland Eversource customers were in the dark.

More than 800 Wayland customers were in the dark and cold Tuesday night.

According to the Eversource outage map, 803 customers, or 14 percent of Wayland’s 5,550 Eversource customers, were without power as of 9 p.m.

Wayland is by far the most drastically affected community served by Eversource, both in terms of whole numbers as well as percentage of customers served, according to an outage document from the utility.

There is not currently an estimate available for when power will be restored.
