Parents of 'The Fault in Our Stars' Inspiration to Visit Wayland

The couple wrote a book in memory of their daughter who lost her battle with thyroid cancer in 2010.

WAYLAND, MA - The authors of a heartfelt New York Times bestseller will make an appearance in Wayland.

Wayne and Lori Earl's book "This Star Won't Go Out" is a memoir of their daughter who was diagnosed with thyroid cancer at the age of 12 and ultimately lost her battle to the disease in 2010.

Their late daughter, Esther Grace Earl, was the inspiration for the book and movie "The Fault in Our Stars."

The Earls started the This Star Won’t Go Out (TSWGO) non-profit foundation to help families of children who have been diagnosed with life-threatening cancers.

The couple will tell their story in Wayland and will have a table before and after the speaking engagement where they will be selling and signing their book.

The event will take place on Thursday, April 14 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m at Temple Shir Tikva, 141 Boston Post Road.

The event is free and open to the public but registration is required.
