Restaurant, Liquor Store Fail Alcohol Compliance Check
Wayland police routinely conduct the undercover checks of the town's businesses that are engaged in liquor sales.

WAYLAND, MA - Two of Wayland’s 15 alcohol-selling establishments failed a routine alcohol compliance check conducted by the Wayland Police Department on Feb. 25.
Coach Grill Restaurant and Post Road Liquors both served alcohol to 20-year-olds who were sent into the establishments by police with instructions to attempt to buy alcohol without showing identification, according to a police press release.

Post Road Liquors is currently on probation for a similar violation that occurred in November 2014. According to Wayland Board of Selectmen meeting minutes, any violation of Massachusetts liquor laws during the probation period, which ends in December 2015, will result in a five-day suspension of the business’ liquor license.
According to police, Coach Grill Restaurant also failed to have its required TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) roster on premises.

Both establishments will face a hearing before the Wayland Board of Selectmen, the town’s liquor-licensing authority.
